In October 2024, I had the honour of speaking at the Destination Wedding Summit 2024, held in the iconic town of Ravello, on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Recognised as one of the most prestigious conferences for destination wedding professionals in Europe, the summit brings together photographers, planners, creatives and industry leaders from around the world.
As a destination wedding photographer, educator and mentor, returning to the DW Summit stage represented more than a talk — it was an opportunity to contribute to an ongoing conversation about the future of the wedding industry.
Together with Rui Mota Pinto, I presented a talk focused on Artificial Intelligence and Humanism in wedding photography, exploring how emerging technologies can support creativity, workflow and business growth while preserving what truly matters: emotion, storytelling and human connection. The discussion resonated deeply with professionals navigating the balance between innovation and authenticity.
Over four days, Ravello became a meeting point for ideas, inspiration and meaningful exchange. From keynote sessions to informal conversations, the DW Summit 2024 reinforced the importance of education, mentorship and shared experience in building sustainable and soulful careers in the wedding industry.
For me, this summit reaffirmed my role not only as a photographer, but also as a speaker and mentor committed to guiding other professionals — helping them evolve creatively, strategically and emotionally in an ever-changing landscape.
Events like the Destination Wedding Summit remind us that while tools evolve, vision, empathy and intention remain timeless.
