Some places elevate everything.
DW Summit 2026 was one of those rare moments where the world of destination weddings gathers, not just to share work, but to redefine direction.
Hosted in Ravello, overlooking the Amalfi Coast, this edition brought together some of the most influential voices in the industry.
But more than that, it created space. For reflection. For connection. For perspective.

Speaking at DW Summit: “Think Visual”
This year marked my second consecutive invitation to speak at the DW Summit.
A return that carries meaning. Not just as participation, but as recognition from the industry itself.
My talk, “Think Visual”, explored something beyond technique.
It was about awareness. About the responsibility of seeing before creating.
About understanding that photography begins long before the camera.
During the presentation, I premiered my new brand film, a personal reflection on emotion, presence, and the role of photography in preserving what cannot be repeated.
Sharing the stage with professionals such as Rui Mota Pinto, Jo Joshi, Jatender, Karen of WeddingsAbroad and Rosie Medeiros created an environment of genuine exchange.
Because in a space like this, what truly matters is not visibility, but connection.
Ravello: A Stage Above Everything Else
There is something about Ravello that shifts perception.
Between silence and scale, it creates a setting where everything feels more intentional.
During the summit, we experienced some of the most iconic venues on the coast:
- Hotel Bonadies — where I stayed, surrounded by views that redefine mornings
- Palazzo Avino — timeless elegance overlooking the sea
- Palazzo Pascal — intimate, refined, quietly powerful
- Hotel Parsifal — a hidden gem with a unique perspective
- Villa Cimbrone — home to the iconic terrace that feels infinite
- Belmond Hotel Caruso — one of the most exclusive hotels in the world
- Duomo di Ravello — where history and presence meet
These are not just venues. They are emotional stages.

Amalfi Coast: Light, Movement and Texture
The journey continued through the coastline, always shifting, always alive.
From Amalfi to Positano and Maiori, each location brings its own rhythm.
One of the highlights was Hotel Santa Caterina.
A place filled with endless corners for photography. Terraces, light, textures, every space invites intention.
Nothing feels repetitive. Everything feels considered.
We also experienced the coast from the sea, on a boat journey connecting Amalfi, Positano and Maiori.
From that perspective, the coastline reveals something different.
More fluid. More cinematic. More real.
Sorrento: Quiet Power and Hidden Potential
Beyond the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento offers a different kind of presence.
Less dramatic at first glance, but deeply refined. Among its most striking locations, the Castello Medievale Sorrento stands out.
A space with history. With structure. With views that stretch endlessly over the sea.
It doesn’t try to impress. It simply holds meaning.
And that makes it incredibly powerful for destination weddings.
Maiori: Simplicity, Space and Authenticity
In Maiori, everything slows down.
The coastline opens. The space breathes.
Locations like Hotel Due Torri and Capo d’Orso offer a different perspective of the coast.
Less intensity. More balance.
And sometimes, that’s exactly what a story needs.
Access to the Right People
Planning a destination wedding in Italy goes far beyond choosing a location.
It’s about working with the right people.
Through my presence at events like the DW Summit and my ongoing work in Italy, I’ve built relationships with a select group of wedding professionals.
I don’t simply share contacts.
I make introductions, when there is alignment.
Because the experience of a destination wedding is defined not only by the place, but by the people behind it.
