I want you to enjoy your wedding. Not spend it producing photographs.
There will be champagne. Noise. Unexpected speeches.
Children running around. People crying.
Friends dancing badly. Family members you have not seen for years. And probably a few things that were never part of the schedule.
That is the wedding.
Those moments matter just as much as the portraits. Perhaps more.

And many celebrations no longer happen in a single day. Welcome dinners. Pre-wedding events. Cultural ceremonies. The wedding day. Pool parties. Brunches.
Indian weddings, in particular, show beautifully how a wedding can become a multi-day experience where different rituals carry different emotions and meaning.
My approach is never to apply the same photographic formula to every culture.
Before the wedding, I want to understand what matters. During it, I anticipate the moments, relationships and traditions that form part of that story.
The goal is not simply to photograph what happened.
It is to understand why it mattered.

Each destination creates completely different photographic possibilities.
The elegant architecture of Lisbon is not Madeira’s dramatic landscape. Sintra does not feel like Comporta.
The Douro does not photograph like the Algarve. And that is exactly the point.
I do not want to reproduce the same wedding photographs in different locations.
The destination should influence the images.
So should the couple.

Many of the couples I photograph live outside Portugal.

Every wedding has its own atmosphere, people, location, light and energy, and that is exactly why I do not believe in applying the same visual formula to every celebration.
My approach remains consistent, emotion, creativity, elegance and spontaneity, but the photographs should always belong to the people and the story in front of me.
I want to understand the character of your wedding, observe what happens naturally and use the light, architecture and landscape around us to create images that feel both honest and visually distinctive.
Some photographs will come from moments I could never predict, while others will be created through composition, movement or subtle direction, but they all have the same purpose: to preserve not only what your wedding looked like, but what it felt like to be there.

Most of the day is photographed naturally and without intervention. When a portrait benefits from direction, I use light, composition, posture and movement without making the image feel overly staged.
Do you work with couples who live outside Portugal?
Yes. Many couples plan their destination wedding in Portugal while living abroad
Most communication and preparation can be done remotely, and I regularly work with international couples, planners and wedding teams.
Do you photograph multi-day weddings?
Yes.
I photograph welcome dinners, pre-wedding events, cultural celebrations, wedding days and day-after events.
For multi-day celebrations, coverage is designed around the actual structure of your wedding.
Do you photograph Indian and multicultural weddings?
Yes.
Multicultural weddings are particularly interesting to me because every tradition has its own rhythm, symbolism and emotional moments.
Preparation is essential. I want to understand the sequence and meaning of the traditions so I can anticipate rather than interrupt them.
We are uncomfortable in front of the camera. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most couples I photograph are not used to being professionally photographed.
My approach is designed around that.
I give direction when necessary and then allow the interaction between you to become natural again.
How far in advance should we contact you?
For popular dates between spring and early autumn, 12–18 months is often a useful timeframe.
However, availability varies, so it is always worth contacting me even if your wedding is closer.
